dog licences
Hi can anyone tell me if it is neccessary to have a dog licence in this country, a dog warden has just been to my door saying i have to have a licence and he has given me 10 days to get one, if not i will be fined 100 euro or eventually if not paid 2.500 euro or jail. He says its the law,
I wanted to tell him there is not such thing as law only statutes and acts and aslong as i don't consent then i dont need one, but i dont have the confidence to say this as i don't know enough.
can someone please advise me....

When you opened the door, and found a blue suit there, with a clipboard in his hand, why did you engage at all, with him?
Better to go make a cup of tea and he'd be gone in ten minutes....
If you didn't speak his language, he couldn't fill his 'form'.........
