official offer

Hi, I started the "official offer" process January this year, the bank cashed the cheques, never said in writing that they accepted my offer.  I was constantly being asked by the bank to fill up financial statement, i was under a lot of pressure from other sources, so i eventually made my own financial statement up, attached "official offer" again to it and sent it off to bank [I DID NOT REGISTER IT],  The bank said they never received it so i filled up their financial statement and sent that off with a question did the bank "securitise" said load, also attached pay slips, and sent off to bank.  The bank also requested current bank statements, i did not send them.  Now the other pressure is off me, i realise i should NOT have filled in their financial statement, the question is, have i ruined my chance with the "official offer", or should i start the process again?  Thank you for your help.
